“A return visit for us to beautiful Shieldaig and cosy comfy An Cos. Things we loved this year: The walk to the Falls of Balgy and Loch Damph, the drive to Diabaig and lunch at Gilles Brighde, sailing with Julian. Kayaking and the cafe in the village. Whatever the weather an Cos is perfect for curling up and watching the view.”

The Jones Family - July 2022

“An Cos. Stunningly beautiful and well kept, situated perfectly above idyllic and welcoming Shieldaig, ever changing Loch Torridon. Family friendly, walks from the backyard gate, countless adventures, friendly pubs, a short drive away. Incredible drives south to Applecross, Plockton, and north through Gairloch, Ullapool, to truly unique Lochinver and Highland Stoneware. All this, not possible without our gracious host Sophie, through flight cancellations, Covid uncertainties. Consistently flexible, and always in good humor. Thanks.”

Smith Family - April 2022

“Once again we have had a most fantastic week in An Cos. The weather has been just amazing, but the house is as incredible as always. Perfect location and wonderfully fitted out especially the kitchen. Everything we could have wanted for a family birthday celebration. We’ve seen sea eagles and seals from the house and deer and stags further afield. Lots of great walks, a boat trip at Loch Gairloch and lots of relaxing. Enjoyed Coastal Kitchen, Nanny’s, Gille Brighde and dining in.”
